I have received a brochure and intend throwing it in the bin. Be very careful of company promises and past performances. Quite often they do not give you the full picture before signing you up.

Thanks Guys. I have thrown it away but they rang me 3 times last week on a phone number that only my family and a previous scammer have. This alone made me suspicious. You also need a large amount of money to enter the Forex business and even then its risky. I have done my homework on this.

Have you been contacted by Agency Financial Services for a "fusion trader" 2009 or Vision Tech for their 'GDX12' horse racing programme 1998? I have received brochures from these previously and now believe that they are all connected...all very cleverly promoted with ripoff in the end.

3 years ago I was scammed by "Excel" , an arbitrage group that just disappeared. Since then I have been approached by "Supatab" (Horseracing) and "Knobile and Lynch' (Arbitrage) now "Apple" (Forex). All these scamming companies contacted me by phone and post. I found out from the fraud squad that the scammers keep a list and I could be contacted for the next 10 years!!
At least now I am aware of what goes on.

thought I might lead them on a bit if and when they contact me..no doubt by phone. Makes it hard for those who may have something genuine to share.

I have had further contact with these people and I am now of the opinion they are a bona fida organisation. They purchased a mailout that just happened to have people who have been scammed on it and they now have done away with that and use their own data base.. They do not require any up front fees. They get their commission from day to day trades that you do with the investment company. Having said all that it still is a risky business - not for the fainthearted!! It does require a minimum outlay of $10k and you can expect a return of 3-6% a month. This is all I can offer at this stage.

Don't be too quick to advocate unless you bought their software and are generating th 6% profit per month claimed.

All I can say is this: they WILL NOT:
• provide any reports or evidence of previous trading
• guarantee the performance of the software
• give you a trial version for any period of time
• provide any testimonials at all

They WILL GIVE you:
• every excuse for this under the sun
• a sales speech that will tempt you to part with between 2600 at 10K

Before parting with 2.6K or 10K, ask yourself this - "can I afford to piss away that amount of money and not bat an eyelid?". If the answer is YES, go for it and good luck to you.

If the answer is NO, do risk it like the hundreds of people including my father who have been "sold" by the Queensland investment entrepeneurs... sorry, I mean scammers... it's simply not worth the heartache. 10K is better off in a savings account earning 6% per annum.

Or just buy the biggest plasma TV you can find and enjoy it for Pete's sake!

Oh - and did any of you ever stop and think why a supposedly successful investment company has such a poorly designed website, presentation and brochure???

I mean please, we're talking about do-it-yourself MS Word layouts here... Publisher at most.

A serious company would employ a professional graphic designer to produce this material if they were seriously aiming their product at serious, savvy investors.

How do I know this? I've run a graphic design agency for almost 15 years.

Their effort is laughable and I really hope my "opinions" steer at least one sensible human being in the right direction.

Of course you are right Mike. In reflection their pitch to me was very convincing but there again that is what they do best. I have had a number of people email me and I have begged them all not to go down this track. Even if they are a bona fida company, Forex is purely for the professional. I have been scammed in the past and I know the heartache it causes. Unfortunately we all get carried away with tempting offers and the scammers play on that ruthlessly.

Well, as of now I have not heard from apple Investment Co, except for their brochure which is very similar to the others I have mentioned previously. I have no intention of parting with my money with this company. However, FX trading can be great with the right company as long as you can understand what you are doing...trading probabilities. There is one reputable one that I know of, that is interested in teaching and not a ripoff read more »

Hiding your affiliate links (Affiliate Link Cloaking) is a very useful thing to do if you are promoting affiliate products on Your Website or elsewhere. First of all, most affiliate links are computer generated, so they often look quite ugly and you may want to hide these behind a short nice looking link. Most important thing, however, is to protect yourself from commission hijacking, especially if you are promoting a product not only to general public, but to other internet marketers as well. Some of them will change your affiliate id to theirs' as soon as they see the affiliate link, so they are getting a discounted product instead of you getting your commission. Here are a few tricks to help you hide your links read more »
